The borders as a symbol of our time is the title of the annual meeting convened by the Association of borderland studies, which will take place in Albuquerque, New Mexico, from 2 to 5 April 2014. In addition to the regular sessions is intended to give special emphasis to several extraordinary sessions to discuss issues like borders, ontological, epistemological, and methodological problems of research, and the boundaries in education, teaching borders above and what they teach us borders.
