The Presidents of the participating parliaments in the Union for the Mediterranean have adopted a declaration in which call for greater democratic legitimacy and the participation of the citizens of the countries involved. They also stressed that the joint projects on both sides of the Mediterranean in the fields of infrastructure, education and training and the entrepreneurial spirit of women need a renewed financial support and strong parliaments.
