This article discusses the geopolitics of the borders of Russia, after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Intends to achieve a meeting between border geopolitics and migrations, separate research areas currently (Gielis, 2009). The first part presents to Russia as a space for international migration, while the second part analyzes the maze border of Russia with the European Union (EU), the next neighbourhood countries, and the countries of Central Asia and China.
