The book addresses issues related to the integrated management of borders and tries to evaluate the role and limits of the European Agency for the management of operational cooperation at the external borders of the States members of the European Union (FRONTEX). The author examines how the creation of this Agency represents a decisive step towards the construction of a common EU policy in the area of external borders. The work describes the problems of border management in the European Union and how to optimize operational cooperation at the external borders.
