It is a study prepared by the Centre of European policy studies which examines the future prospects of Schengen and control of the EU’s borders by the presentation of the Commission’s legislative proposals and the establishment of the “smart borders”(Smart Borders). He does so from a multi-level perspective, evaluating the potential impact on local and regional authorities, recognizing that these have an interest clear and practical in terms of the evolution of the EU in the control of the borders.
