This document is directed to theorize the main aspects of the espanola-marroqui border since Spain entered the European Union in 1986. Spain access to the European Union meant that the border espanola-marroqui also became the border between the EU / Schengen area and Morocco. The border became the periphery of two different cores and, as a result, the geopolitical appeal of the border in some way doubled.
